Benediction: Seeing Jesus

Close your eyes
Imagine the man they call Jesus
Standing in front of you.

How does He look at you?
Perhaps He smiles
Maybe He nods,
Welcoming you as a child of God.

What do you feel?
Perhaps peace,
Running deep into your soul
Maybe glee,
Bursting from your heart.

What does He say?
Perhaps that you are loved
Maybe “be patient,
For the work of God 
Will be displayed in your life.”

Open your eyes and see,
Confident that God is who God is.
